My good friend and talented artist, Jim Brown, and I are having a gallery exhibit at The Oxford Community Arts Center. The exhibition is open through May 4th. We invite you to join us on Friday evening, April 13th, for a reception from 6 pm to 8 pm. Refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is titled FRIENDLY MEDIA. It features Jims’s watercolor and oil paintings, as well as my photography.

Jim’s paintings include landscapes, landmark buildings, wildlife and pets, portraits, Americana, and his favorite subject, Santa Claus.

My photography includes cityscapes (day and night), wildflowers, mountain landscapes, portraits of recording artists on stage, and a few abstract works.

I hope you can join us for the reception on Friday evening, April 13. If you can’t join us then, stop by the Oxford Community Arts Center any day through May 4th and enjoy the exhibit. The unusually warm weather in the middle part of the country has brought us early relief from winter's endless gray. I couldn't resist grabbing some of the beauty we've been blessed with this spring.

My good friend, Jim, gloating over his recent victory in our annual "Stirring the Hot Chocolate" competition. Jim won (for the second year in a row) with his prediction of the lowest winter temperature, combined with the date the low temperature occurred. Last year, Jim predicted the exact low temperature and the exact date of its occurrence. This year, he didn't do that well, but he still won. Congratulations, Jim!
